Cancellation Policy

Policy Details

The hotel allows guests to cancel their reservation up to 72 hours before their scheduled arrival. However, if a guest cancels within this period, they will be charged a penalty equal to the cost of one night's stay plus applicable taxes. Additionally, the hotel will request a one night authorization hold on the guest's credit card used to book there reservation.


The Hill House Inn in Mendocino California rests off of the Pacific Coastline with guest rooms and suites featuring both garden and ocean views.  Guests of the Inn can easily access an impressive network of State Parks and forest lands.  We are a short drive from the Little River Airport and a more extended, but scenic drive from Sonoma County Airport and San Francisco Airport. Our ideal location keeps guests of the Inn near outdoor attractions, gourmet restaurants, museums, and miles of pristine beaches. 


Hill House Inn provides 44 well-appointed non-smoking guest rooms and suites. Services we provide include a multi-lingual staff, complimentary WiFi, complimentary coffee and tea in the lobby, complimentary self-parking, a wedding venue, and concierge service.

Children and Extra Beds

Children are welcome at Hill House Inn.  Up to three (3) children ages 14 and younger stay free when occupying a parent or guardians room using existing bedding.   
Rollaway beds are available for an additional fee of USD 20 per stay. Infant beds and cribs are not available


ADA Defined Service Animals are welcome at our hotel.  Our hotel is also pet-friendly. Guests must get approval from management prior to bringing a pet.  A pet fee of USD $40 for each night.  We restrict two (2) pets per room.  Pets are allowed in select rooms. Please call to add your pet to your reservation.

Terms & Conditions

This property is privately owned, and the management reserves the right to refuse service to anyone and will not be responsible for accidents or injury to guests or for loss of money, jewelry or valuables of any kind.  Once checked in, no cancellations are accepted.  All linens are inventoried: missing or damaged linens will be charged.  Any damages to hotel property will be charged an additional fee upon assessment.  This is a NON-SMOKING facility. Guest acknowledges that smoking is not allowed in a guest room or within hotel facility. If anyone in the guest's party smokes in the guest room, guest hereby expressly authorizes hotel management to charge credit card the amount to reimburse the property for the additional cost of cleaning guest room.  If your reservation has been paid in advance, a prepayment via credit card at the time of booking will be required. A valid photo ID and credit card are both required at check-in. Hotel takes a credit preauthorization but does not accept cash deposits.
